Little Bodies, Large Personalities
Allister has proven to be a very laid-back little man, but his personality is really beginning to show as he spends the majority of his "play-time" kicking and talking, giggling, sucking, staring, etc.
We got the cousins together the other day for a little "hang out" session and man, has Allister got his work cut out for him. Miss Lilli bug has got herself a personality. Lovely little lady and seeing the two of them together was so much fun!
Just a couple of the pictures we snapped...unedited!

He is 4 months old today...

...I've always heard "time flies", but noone prepared me for this. I keep telling Allister that when I get him in the morning, he "better not be a teenager". (And sometimes I'm actually a little scared that might happen.) I LOVE this baby...love, love, love him! And while I'll enjoy the stages, I'll forever miss my baby Allister. ...but for now, for this brief moment, he continues to be my baby.
Some of my favorite things so far...
~ walking in to get him in the morning and getting a squeal of delight
~ the way he watches Peter
~ the way he watches Peter
~ talking together
~ his giggle
~ when he gets so excited that the joy comes out through his arms and legs
~ letting me know he is tired by talking louder
~ his smile (this boy has got a smile!)

Canada Day
Some of my favorite things about Canada:
(not in any particular order)
- the German bakery & butcher shop...next door to each other
- spending time with friends
- stories in the back yard
- meeting friends from home in Toronto
- pretzel buns
- St. Jacob's
- street hot dog vendors in Toronto
- not hitting moose as they gallivant across the highway
- Rossport
- waves on Lake Michigan that are smaller than 5 feet
- not getting hit in the head with Peter's lure
- not getting kicked in the middle of the night while camping, because "someone" thinks I'm a raccoon trying to cuddle
- people riding their bikes during the biggest snow storm of the year
- ice skating
- October colors
- not having to wait 7 hours to use the bathroom while ice fishing
- holiday dinners
- kipfuls
- and, of course, time with my family
Happy Canada Day to my Canadian men and family!
