Allister and Ella, part 4

Allister is definitely the big brother...possessive of his baby sister, showing off for the camera, bossy :) ("Flip sides, Momma"...that means, flip the screen so I can see myself and show off some more") and commanding attention from his little sister in order to tell her what is funny! !

Here's the Dialogue:

Allister:
"Get up...
baby Ella sit up...

Momma:
"You have to hold her up, Bubba"
(Yes, I should have known better!)

Allister:
"Baby Ella slide down a little bit"

choke hold

Allister:
"I sit her up"

more choke hold

and then he kisses her

Allister and Ella, part 2

Allister's favorite thing to do is hold Ella. I think he asks to hold her every time he sees her and then he asks me to take a picture...and then he whispers to Ella to say "cheeseburgers" and smile at the camera. It's pretty cute!

Allister and Ella, part 1

I just wanted to share some of the videos we've taken of sweet Allister with his baby sister!
(There has been plenty of non-sweet Allister, and so I wanted to remind myself of all the sweetness that still exists)

"I Am Blessed"

For the past few weeks we have been giving Allister his birthday presents one at a time, usually one a week, to play with. I'm finding this draws out the excitement and interest in each toy.
Last week we pulled out the tool box that he received from his cousins Lillian and Wren and Uncle Paul and Auntie Krissy. He's loved them!

I spent last week building a few shelves for my post-baby nesting phase of cleaning out our garage. It was the perfect opportunity for Allister to pull out his own tool box and help his Mama build some shelves.

As we were deep into building our third shelf of the day, he pauses from banging his hammer on one particular shelf and states "I am blessed".
It seriously caught me a bit off guard and I sat there for a minute just thinking of the statement my 2-year-old had just made.
He then turned around, looked at me and said, "Momma is blessed, too"

Yes, I am, son!! Yes I am!

Just a couple of my blessings of late:

Water Play

This is Allister's new water toy he received from Papa and Honi for his birthday.

It is a lot of fun to do this...

And it is even more fun to do this...
