Lillian, What Does A Bunny Do??

(scrunched nose)

What does a Turtle do?

(tuck head inside shell)

What does a Giraffe do?

9 months...and a half

I have taken so many pictures lately and haven't been posting them...so here is Allister's 9 (and 1/2) month picture sharing.

Our boy loves to wave, clap and say "Yeeeeaaaaaa", beat on the drums and nod his head. I also noticed yesterday that he has a fifth tooth...didn't even let us know. Oh, and he's crawling!!

Painting the Day Away

I'm actually a night person. Though I love to be up in the early morning, I say I'm a night person because, for some reason, my brain clicks on at about midnight. So, when I say that I painted the day away, it was actually the night. And this particular idea came to me probably at around midnight.

I felt like some autumn aspens would look mighty fine hanging in our new bathroom, adding a touch of color. So, wahlah....autumn aspens. (Just in time for the winter cold).

Play Time at the Blaser Household

First you have a boy...

...and his toy box:

Ooooo...a piece of lint (he obviously doesn't REALLY need a toy box...and I need to vaccuum):

And then the real fun begins...first one toy...

then two...

next comes reaching in and emptying out...

Now that they're all out, which one shall I choose...hmmmm...decisions, decisions...

quick check for any more inside.

Taste Test:

Final Choice (notice him reaching OVER the basketball and football)

Isn't it funny how sometimes we think that our children's current selection of toys (even at 9 months old) reflects the choices they will make as adults. Am I the only one? For example, if they choose to play with stuffed animals, then he/she will for sure become a veterinarian or possibly even a member of PETA. And OF COURSE if they grow up liking books then they will be very smart. Imagine my dismay/fear when I notice, over and again, Allister choosing the soccer ball! Agh!! If you at all know me, I am an avid basketball fan. Though I enjoy watching, I LOVE playing all the more. And Peter, being Canadian, enjoys hockey. We both enjoy football, so even that is an acceptable choice, but nope, it seems Allister has chosen his own route in the athletic world and is drawn toward the soccer ball. And we know that if he continually chooses the soccer ball (as he has been) he OF COURSE will become a soccer player! Agh!! Although, it could be that it just tastes better??

Poor, Lonely Basketball:

Time for a stretch (by the way, this is the first time I've ever seen him sitting in the splits. Ha!):

Gooooooooal....

And, then, after all the fun ends, we do a bit of clean up ("clean up, clean up, everybody, everywhere")...

...and back to lint hunting.

I hope you've enjoyed Play Time with Allister at the Blaser household!! Come back again tomorrow for some more soccer, I mean, fun!! Maybe we'll sugar coat the basketball from here on out :)

Family Pictures

Before the Camera Broke

I realize that I am a bit of a sporadic blogger. Every now and then I consider actually sharing some of my deep thoughts or some of the events that are taking place in our family and in our home, but it seems that time flies so quickly that all I really have is the opportunity to grab my camera and snap some pictures (or grab the video camera and record a bit of life). Plus, it's easier with photos :)
One of these days I might just unload my thoughts all over this page, but until then, I'll be sharing some more pics.
I realize that I never shared any of the pictures I took for Allister's "autumn shoot", so here goes:

Football Season

Allister enjoyed his first football game a few weeks back. Lobos vs. BYU. We don't need to talk about the outcome, but it sure was fun to watch Allister! He was very interested in the shouting man behind us...Allister would turn his little head around and just stare at him. Ha!

Here we are with Aunt Lydi:

Needless to say, it's been hard to get Allister to talk about anything else since. :)

Michigan fans, watching THE game:
