African Lion Safari

We are getting close to the end of our stay here in Canada and as the time draws near, we are starting to check off more & more items on our To-Do List. One of the items on our To-Do List has been to go to the African Lion Safari. Finally we did it and it is now one of my favorite activities thus far on this trip.
We first took the tour bus through the (gated) open fields to see the animals roaming around. We also spent some time in the amusement park area, riding the train, petting some of the animals, looking at different birds, watching the elephants bathe in the lake. It was raining on and off throughout the day, so when it started to pour we would just hop back into our car and drive through the open fields to see the animals again, which included ostriches pecking at the car windows & monkeys climbing onto our car.
At one point we got caught, thankfully under a very large umbrella, in a very hard downpour and so we sat together, eating snacks and being silly!
It was a really lovely day!

So excited to ride the bus!!
The male Rhino's name was Bubba (the nickname we have for Allister) and Allister was VERY excited about there being two Bubba's!!

Hanging out at the park (riding the train, petting zoo, birds, watching elephants)
